• Voltmeters are connected across the resistance R, inductance L and capacitance C,  to measure the potential drops V_R, V_L , V_C  respectively.


• A voltmeter is connected across the power supply for measuring supply voltage V.


• An ammeter is connected in series with the elements to measure the current I flowing through each of the elements.
